Plot
Husband, wife, and two teenage sons and daughters. Their happy family lives in a small town called Hidden Oaks. The husband is a professional tennis coach, and the wife is a reputed real estate agent. Both boys and girls are high school students. Where is the discrepancy, then?
They select their prey by matching certain characteristics over a fairly long period. Some women who are living alone are chosen as victims. Then those victims were abducted and imprisoned in an unknown place and subjected to unspeakable torture, that too for months, and then they were killed. The entire pattern matches the murders committed by infamous serial killer Wayne Oliver Riley. That Wayne Oliver Riley, who once reigned terror over the entire town of Hidden Oaks. But he has returned after so long!
Tobias is deaf. He develops friendships with girls in various ways. For what purpose? What is Millicent hiding from her husband? A closeted maniac begins a serial killing spree by sending letters to journalist Josh in Hidden Oaks. Wounded bodies of women are found one after another. Who is behind all this? When investigator Claire Wellington set foot in Hideak Oaks, those mysteries slowly began to unfold.
With all the breathtaking events, some people’s minds wavered between belief and disbelief. Who is evil, and who is more evil? That is the question here.

Samantha Downing’s psychological thriller ‘My Lovely Wife’ was published in 2019. It became a bestseller soon after its publication. Popular thriller writers like Harlan Coben And C.J. Tudor have praised this novel. Samantha Downing has tried to give an excellent idea about the dark side of the human mind wrapped in the clothes of an arranged life in ‘My Lovely Wife.’ It’s a bit surprising to think how many strange fetishes some people indulge in subconsciously day after day.
Like many other psychological thrillers, the story of ‘My Lovely Wife’ progresses very slowly. The author has revealed the truths related to the story bit by bit at the end of all small chapters. At times, it felt a bit slow for me while reading. But in the end, the mercury of excitement rose quite a bit. Even if people live together under one roof for years, people do not get to know each other completely. Overall I liked ‘My Lovely Wife’. After about three months, I could finish reading any book. It felt good.

7/10. It is a Psychological thriller, so there won’t be twists on every page, but the story will be good to read and help you think about how many strange things happen in the world.
