Here’s my review of the book

Plot

After a heart transplant, former FBI agent Terry McCaleb was spending his free time on his boat. One day, a woman came in his boat with a case to solve the murder mystery of her sister. After the murder, the woman’s sister’s organs were transplanted into McCaleb’s body. McCaleb had to take the case. Descending to solve the case, McCaleb discovers a strange and terrifying killer who is selectively killing people in the heart of Los Angeles. McCaleb has no clue how to catch the killer. Also, he had to face administrative hurdles on the way to solving the case. Will McCaleb be able to handle so much to catch this insane killer, or will he disappear into the dark world?

The answers to all the riddles lie in Michael Connelly’s Anthony & Macavity Award-winning novel Blood Work. Welcome to Michael Connelly’s perfect investigation process, criminal psychology, strange depression, and dark crime world.

My Review

I prefer police procedural thrillers to occult thrillers or fantasy genre books. After reading Michael Connelly’s book The Poet, I became a massive fan of Michael Connelly. Honestly, like The Poet book, Blood Work was also outstanding! The perfect investigative process can be learned by reading this book. Being a criminology student myself, I have a little extra interest in investigations, criminal psychology, and interrogation. And the Blood Work novel has been able to fulfill that completely. There’s not much to say about the book. The story combines excellent plot, story build-up, powerful villains, and wonderful twists. While reading the book, I felt like I was investigating as well as the detective, but honestly, the twist at the end was unpredictable. People who have read and liked The Poet Already will surely like Blood Work, too. If you are interested in serial killing or investigative procedural thrillers, this book will be recommended.
